Orbital Engineering, Inc. is currently seeking an experienced Senior Civil/Structural Engineer to assist with civil/structural projects in our Hammond, IN office location. The position will provide engineering support to the civil and structural engineering groups for customer projects in heavy industrial sectors such as, Metals, Midstream Oil & Gas, Refineries & Petrochemical and/or Utilities & Power Generation industries. The position requires the Senior Civil/Structural Engineer to perform in varying roles related to detailed engineering design, project execution, technical support, and customer relationship development.

We are seeking a Senior Civil/Structural Engineer to join our Hammond, IN staff to function as a project engineer and/or a project manager. Requirements include 10+ years of experience plus Professional Engineer (PE) license. A Master's Degree is a plus.

• Able to prepare and/or assist in the preparation of bids and proposals, as well as build and maintain good client relationships.
• Prepare specifications for material, equipment and construction work.
• Deliver accurate and thorough civil/structural designs to meet industry standards and specifications.
• Work within a multi-discipline team to develop, review and coordinate construction packages. Local travel to client sites as needed.
• Must have experience in and have the desire to lead projects and manage client expectations.
• Need strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate with engineering disciplines to ensure overall design accuracy.
• Must excel in working in a team environment and be self-motivated with high attention to detail.
