Range: $63.23 - $99.59 per hour Rush salaries are determined by
many factors including, but not limited to, education, job-related
experience and skills, as well as internal equity and industry
specific market data. The pay range for each role reflects Rush's
anticipated wage or salary reasonably expected to be offered for
the position. Offers may vary depending on the circumstances of
each case.Summary:The Pharmacy Operations Manager is responsible
for coordinating operations of the Central and OR Satellite
Pharmacies to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective
operational workflows. The scope includes coordination and
optimization of technology including dispensing carousels, Pyxis,
EPIC workflows, oral repackaging and compounding and overall
dispensing and delivery of patient medications.Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:1. Coordinate workflow for the central pharmacy
including ADC restock, oral and IV preparation and dispensing,
dispensing carousel operations, and other technology that is used
within pharmacy operations.2. Responsible for maintenance of
regulatory requirements for USP and and , and The Joint Commission
requirements including application to daily workflows and
competency maintenance.3. Initiate, maintain, and update policies
and procedures related to pharmacy operations.4. Advocate for
participation in the Pharmacy Department Technician Career Ladder
and PCAP programs for operational technicians and pharmacists.5.
Supervise distribution pharmacists and pharmacy technicians,
including meeting requirements for all direct reports.6. Supervise
and mentor Pharmacy Technician Supervisor(s) and Pharmacy
Operations Supervisor as outlined in the pharmacy reporting
structure.7. Coordinate operational informatics implementation,
optimization, and daily workflow needs.8. Conduct personnel related
functions including, but not limited to hiring, performance
appraisals, disciplinary action, and approval of employee leaves.9.
Collaborate with the Medication Safety Officer. Pharmacist and
Technician Supervisors on improving the medication use process.10.
Maintain a leadership role in the transformation of pharmacy
systems, practice, and facilities.11. Support residency and
experiential education programs by precepting APPE/IPPE students
and residents.12. Participate in pharmacy leadership department
meetings including, but not limited to 3M, Drug Shortages. Central
Operations Pharmacy (COP) Meeting, Pharmacy Townhall, and Post
Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee Meeting.13. Actively engage in
the weekly and weekend Pharmacy Administrator on Call
(PAOC)program.Other information:Required Job Qualifications:---
PharmD, PGY1 and MBA.--- Five years of pharmacy management
experience--- Three years of experience in acute care hospital
environment.--- Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Pharmacist
in the State of Illinois.--- In depth knowledge of hospital
pharmacy operations and automation, with special emphasis on
existing and planned products, automated dispensing, IV
compounders, packagers, bar code applications, and supply chain
solutions.--- Strong project management skills.--- Proficient in
Microsoft Office.--- Ability to communicate effectively orally and
in writing.--- Excellent interpersonal skills.--- Ability to
demonstrate responsibility and accountability for all aspects of
professional practice.--- Ability to consistently strive to improve
liaisons with other professionals and departments.--- Ability to
mentor and teach residents and students.Preferred Job
Qualifications:--- PGY2 Administrative Residency.--- Knowledge and
experience with Pyxis, RxWorks, DoseEdge, Alaris, and RIVA.Physical
