Title: Actuarial Principal - Business Development (Health)Location: RemoteType: FTESalary: $200,000-$275,000Only those who do not require any current or future sponsorship can be considered; no third parties.As a Principal, you will collaborate closely with seasoned leaders and senior consultants from a globally recognized strategy and analytics firm, contributing to a wide array of client solutions. This role involves high levels of interaction with clients, including leading insurance carriers and healthcare systems. Responsibilities include leading business development efforts, managing client relationships, overseeing project delivery, and conducting peer reviews.Potential projects include:

• Pricing & Bid Strategy: Guide product pricing initiatives, from strategic positioning and benefit design through actuarial assumption development, certification, and submission, including post-submission support.
• Market Feasibility & Entry Analysis: Evaluate opportunities for new product launches or market expansions, develop financial pro formas, conduct risk assessments, and identify key success drivers.
• Experience Analyses: Lead assessments of business performance to identify cost and utilization drivers and recommend strategic adjustments.
• Product Design & Market Positioning: Support clients in benchmarking, product innovation, and pricing strategies to improve market positioning and profitability.
• Strategic Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams on broader strategy engagements across healthcare and insurance sectors.Required Experience & Skills:
  • Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) with 8+ years of professional actuarial experience
  • Background in advisory or consulting roles with client-facing responsibilities
  • Ability to generate business opportunities and expand client relationships
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Experience guiding junior team members in client development and project execution
  • Leadership skills and team collaboration experience
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to translate data insights into strategic recommendations
