Proficient in all service lines with strong orthopedic experience;
ophthalmology, robotics, vascular, and spine/neuro experience is
desired. Description: The facility has 231 beds and a Level III
NICU. There are no trauma designations. It is a teaching hospital.
There are 9 surgical suites available. Patient types range from
adolescent to adult, including general, orthopedic, gynecological,
spinal, neurological, vascular, ENT, robotics (general,
gynecological, urology), urology, podiatry, ophthalmology (retina &
cataracts), and plastics. The patient-to-staff ratio is 1:1.
Support on the unit includes a CNA at a 1:1 ratio. There is a
free-floating charge nurse available only on day shifts. Unit
secretaries are present for day and evening shifts from Monday
through Friday, with daytime coverage on Saturdays. Phlebotomy
services are provided. The hospitalist team is part of the support
system. Bedside monitoring is conducted using anesthesia monitors.
The charting system and equipment used include EPIC, Beaker,
Alaris, and Pyxis.
