Must-Have: - Open heart surgery experience - Experience in
cardiovascular cases - Cerner charting experience Description:
Candidates may be floated to the main operating room if there are
no heart cases. Position requires working 4x10 day shifts from
06:00 to 16:30. There are call requirements of 2-3 overnight shifts
per week, with a weekend rotation every third weekend. In open
heart cases, there will typically be 2 circulating RNs and 2
additional team members, either CST or RN, who scrub the case. The
RN-to-patient ratios are not the same as those in inpatient
nursing. Candidates must have at least 2 years of experience.
First-time applicants are accepted. Weekend requirements may vary
per contract. On-call requirements are based on facility needs as
per contract. Candidates must be comfortable floating between units
as necessary. The maximum amount of requested time off is 10 days,
and if the request is during holidays, travelers must be willing to
work at least 1 of the 3 holidays. Candidates need to complete up
to 8 hours of training modules within 1 week of signing. Charting
is done using Cerner. This facility has a total of 449 stocked beds
and is classified as a short-term acute care facility. Candidates
are expected to uphold professional conduct, as issues may lead to
immediate contract termination. Travelers should be aware of
policies around returning staff, as they must be gone for a minimum
of 3 years before reapplying. Candidates must live outside a
50-mile radius of the facility. Pending licenses will be accepted
