experience required in ED/Trauma nursing License: Current state
Registered Nurse License or Multi-state Nursing License from a
participating state in the Nurse Licensure Compact Certifications:
- Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) - Advanced
Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - Trauma Nurse course certification
(TNCC) - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Must-Have: -
Clinical competence and experience in the care and management of
target patient populations specific to area of employment -
Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice, typically
acquired through completion of education at an accredited School of
Nursing Description: The Registered Nurse is responsible for
assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for
an identified group of patients in an inpatient environment. This
individual demonstrates competency in the delivery of care to a
primarily adult population. The job description incorporates
essential functions adapted from the Nursing: Scope and Standards
of Practice, 2nd Edition (2010). Schedules involve rotating PM/NOC
shifts, including three 12-hour shifts and every third weekend.
