Registered Nurse (RN) | Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Location: Chicago, IL Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,627 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/17/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PICU RN in Chicago, Illinois, 60612! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: 2 years License: Valid nursing license required Certifications: BLS, PALS Must-Have: - Experience in PICU - Ability to float within the facility as needed - Familiarity with Cerner charting system Description: The Registered Nurse will provide care in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. The shift will involve working nights, three times a week. The nurse will be required to work every other weekend. RTO (Request Time Off) is limited to five days maximum with no more than two consecutive days off. No time off will be approved during holidays or the weekends preceding or following a holiday. All candidates must float within the facility as needed, potentially to various units. Experience with the interpretation and management of dysrhythmias is essential. The nurse will manage central lines, PICC lines, and care of ventilated patients. Experience with pediatric dosage calculations and the management of sedation is required. The position requires a strong understanding of isolation precautions and personal protective equipment (PPE). Adaptability to changing situations and patient needs is crucial. Community hospital experience is preferred but not mandatory. The candidate must be responsive and compliant with all documented requirements.
