Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ED - Emergency Department - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 04/06/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview - Shift: Days, 3x12hrs - Hours: 36 hrs/wk - Start Date: Apr 6, 2026 - Length: 13 weeks - Openings: 1 Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Lafayette, IN, requiring a minimum of 3 years of ED experience and active IN or compact RN license. Details - Day shift position, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM - 36 hours per week - Every other weekend required - No on-call or float requirements - 32-bed Emergency Department serving medical, trauma, and mental health patients across the lifespan - Standard patient ratio of 1:4, with higher ratios for low-acuity patients - Level I fluid warmer in use - EMR: Epic Requirements - Active IN or compact RN license required - Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS; TNCC preferred - Minimum 3 years of recent Emergency Department experience - Experience caring for patients across the lifespan required - Trauma care experience preferred - US Social Security Number required - No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months - EKG testing must be completed as part of the consideration process (2 attempts allowed; if unsuccessful, candidates may reapply to Franciscan positions after 30 days) Additional Information - Navy scrubs required; facility dress code must be followed - Online education modules will be assigned and must be completed prior to the first day - Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but may be considered under a different rate structure - First-time travelers are not explicitly excluded — contact your recruiter for eligibility details American Traveler Job ID P-678930.
