GoLang or Python Developer 3 - Chicago, IL or Reston, VA - ONSITE (4 days a week)Job SummaryWe are looking for a savvy Engineer 3 to join our growing engineering team in Freewheel. Our engineering team works on offering the world-class real-time ad delivery service that delivers billions of advertisements globally, with robust quality, high engineering/cost efficiency and technical excellence.Core Responsibilities

• Develop highly scalable and reliable infrastructure on AWS, ensuring optimal performance and cost efficiency.
• Implement security best practices and ensure the integrity and compliance of the AWS infrastructure and containerized environments.
• Work closely with senior engineers to build and enhance ad-serving infrastructure.
• Write and maintain documentation for software functionality and design decisions.
• Provide technical support for production systems and assist in troubleshooting issues.
• Collaborate with global engineering and operations team to further incorporate collective innovations.
• Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
• Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or similar field of study.
  • 1-3 years of software engineering experience, preferably in cloud computing, distributed systems, or backend development.
  • Familiarity with one or more programming languages including GoLang OR Python.
  • Solid understanding of Cloud, containerization and other related technologies.
  • Solid understanding of Linux systems and fundamental knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
  • Experience in large-scale online service development and operation and maintenance is preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn new technologies.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing requirements.
  • Knowledgeable about SDLC, Agile and Software Engineering Methodology.
  • Experience with message queues, caching mechanisms, or distributed databases is preferred.
