Job Description Job Description Job Title: Forklift Operator Job Description As a Forklift Operator, you will play a crucial role in the efficient functioning of our warehouse. Your responsibilities will encompass receiving and verifying incoming parts, picking part orders using RF scanners, and maintaining finished goods and inventory. You will also participate in cycle counting and contribute to the general cleanliness and organization of the warehouse. Cross-training within departments is encouraged to enhance operational effectiveness. Shift: 3pm-11:30pm Pay: $19.80/hour (with room for growth - opportunity to make $21 within the year) Responsibilities Receive and check incoming parts for accuracy from vendors, update the computer system, and place them in the appropriate warehouse location. Pick part orders in both low and high locations using RF scanner and load orders onto production carts. Participate in cycle counting programs, bin/space consolidation programs, and maintain cleanliness of inventory and warehouse facility. Become cross-trained within the department and work in other departments as necessary. Identify potential or repetitious errors by other departments and verify our work and the work of other associates. Adhere to company handbook and all other departmental rules and regulations, including respect for fellow employees and safety. Maintain warehouse equipment as per schedule and report any problems with equipment to Supervisor and/or Manager immediately. Maintain a neat and organized work area. Accept responsibility for actions and work performed. Participate in all company-sponsored activities, including suggestion programs and quality training. Perform other duties as required. Maintain an overall positive attitude and function well in a team environment. Essential Skills Experience with Sit down or stand up Forklift (1 year) Packing Shipping/Receiving Additional Skills & Qualifications Material handling RF scanner operation Forklift certification Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Buffalo Grove, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
