Job SummaryPurdue University NorthwestCollege of Humanities, Education, and Social SciencesSchool of Education and CounselingPNW Community Counseling Center Clinical CoordinatorThe School of Education and Counseling at Purdue University Northwest (PNW) is seeking applicants for the PNW Community Counseling Center (CCC) Clinical Coordinator. This is a Clinical Instructor in Counselor Education position with an expected start date of January 1, 2021.Qualifications/RequirementsThe School of Education and Counseling invites applicants with a master's degree or higher in Clinical Mental Health Counseling or Addictions Counseling from an accredited program to serve as Clinic Coordinator for the CCC at PNW. Applicants must be licensed, or license-eligible, in Indiana in minimally one of the following areas: Clinical Mental Health Counseling or Addictions Counseling.Position Responsibilities:The successful candidate will serve as a key member of the School's educational programs and will be responsible for the administrative supervision of student staff, and clinical supervision of counselor's-in-training (CIT). This position will provide oversight, implementation, and coordination of clinical services, marketing and outreach, and administrative responsibilities. The clinic supervisor serves as the administrator for the clinical record system, and is responsible for the policies and procedures of the clinic, and the delivery of counseling services being offered at Community Counseling Center (CCC) on Indianapolis Boulevard. They will engage in interdisciplinary work for wellness initiatives on campus, and regularly connect with university administrators and directors of other student health clinics on campus. The PNW CCC clinical coordinator would manage training needs with academic faculty to best optimize clinical experiences for counseling trainees, as well as onboarding new staff.Training and Position RequirementsThe following professional requiements are needed for PNW CCC Clinic Coordinator:Hold a MA/MS in Counseling (other disciplines upon review of experience and application);20-25 hours per week of on-site clinic supervision of counseling services;Hold and maintain up-to-date licensure in the state of Indiana (as per PLA guidelines) and qualify as an 'equivalent supervisor' as defined by the Indiana Professional Licensure code (IC 25-23.6-8.5-4);Preference given to addicitions licensure/certification (LDAC) and those who are bilingual.At least two years of clinical supervision experience (supervising practicum and internship-level CIT), and at least three years of professional experience as a licensed mental health counselor working with culturally diverse populations;Familiarity with HIPAA/FERPA, ACA codes of ethics;Knowledge and familiarization of Microsoft office programs (Word/Excel);Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills;Requires own Malpractice/Liability Insurance as a supervisorThe School of Education and CounselingThe School of Education and Counseling programs are accredited by the State of Indiana, and nationally accredited through the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP).
