The Label Inventory Clerk works to produce and maintain labels in accordance with quality standards, GMPs, Safe Quality Food requirements, and FDA guidelines for the safe production of food products.Essential Functions--Set-up, operate and properly maintain all label related equipmentCoordinate label production with the syrup production scheduler and ensure crews have the correct quantities of the right labels on hand to fulfill syrup production schedulesManage third party supplied and self-manufactured label inventoriesProduce and restock self-manufactured labels dailyEnsure label inventory accuracy through timely label production postingsMove labels to/from storage locations to/from designated labeling operationsEnsure all work instructions and job aids are followedProficiently operate scanners and complete label inventory cycle countsAbility to troubleshoot process nonconformities, identify root causes and take corrective action.Interface with various departments regarding label accuracyUse continuous improvement mindset to improve processesImplement 5S and other appropriate lean manufacturing applicationsMaintain cleanliness of work areas and complete cleaning checklistsMaintain a safe work areaReport any employee safety, food safety, and food quality related issues to managementInspires team adoption of the company mission/values, compliance with standards, product quality and customer service excellence.Other essential or non-essential duties may be assignedMinimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills, Aptitude--High school diploma or general education degree (GED)A minimum of six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Qualifications / Additional Skills / Aptitude:Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Ability to write simple correspondence effectively and present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees in the organization.Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts, such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions in practical situations.Ability to identify, analyze, and solve problems in situations where only limited standardization exists.Ability to develop alternative solutions.Knowledge of the WMiS system and TOLAS Inventory software as well as proficient experience in Microsoft Word and Excel programs. The employee will also need to be able to work with RF scan equipment.Operate all Material Handling Equipment according to OSHA and company guidelines.Gives and welcomes feedback; contributes to building a positive team spirit.Displays willingness to make decisions.Demonstrates accuracy, thoroughness and attention to detail; looks for ways to improve and promote quality; applies feedback to improve performance; monitors own work to ensure quality.Meets productivity standards; completes work in timely manner; strives to increase productivityWork overtime as required.Physical Requirements:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
