Job Description Job Description MUST BE A WISCONSIN RESIDENT AND HAVE THE ABILITY TO TRAVEL THROUGHOUT MILWAUKEE COUNTY Position Overview This position reports to the Director of Marketing and Communications and focuses on creating and managing external-facing digital content. The role plays a key part in advancing the department’s mission and vision through clear, engaging, and on-brand messaging across digital platforms. The ideal candidate is a strong writer with hands-on experience managing website content, social media channels, and creating digital marketing assets. This role is deadline-driven and highly collaborative, requiring strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with staff across multiple departments. Key Responsibilities Create, edit, and manage website content using a Content Management System Manage organizational social media channels, including creating, scheduling, and publishing content across multiple platforms Develop digital marketing materials such as social graphics, flyers, and promotional assets using Canva or similar design tools Execute basic graphic design projects and create presentations (PowerPoint) for leadership and principals Attend events at locations across Milwaukee County, capture photography, and develop related social media and digital content Travel to various county events in support of marketing and communications initiatives (fuel reimbursement provided) Assist with press conferences, media materials, and talking points for county spokespeople Collaborate closely with internal staff and stakeholders across departments Required Skills & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Media Studies, or a related field Minimum of 2–4 years of professional experience in: Website content management Social media management (content creation and scheduling across multiple platforms) Graphic design using Canva or a comparable platform Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to maintain consistent, on-brand messaging Ability to manage deadlines and perform well in a deadline-driven environment Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills Photography experience Experience writing press materials Media relations experience Ability to write high-level talking points Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills Additional Information This role is primarily onsite but offers hybrid flexibility Travel throughout Milwaukee County is required for events and marketing operations Fuel reimbursement will be provided for work-related travel Company Description Alpha Rae Personnel is a full-service Universal Workforce Solutions and Executive Search firm with a proven track record of success.
