Overview of Contract Analyst
The Purchasing General Services department at Purdue University Northwest is seeking a Contract Analyst to prepare, negotiate, and administer all PNW contracts and assure compliance with University standards.Duties and Responsibilities of Contract Analyst

  • Review vendor originated contracts and negotiate revisions for compliance
  • Provide oversight for compliance to University policies, PNW procedures, signature and fiscal approvals
  • Assist with contract award functions and develop negotiation plans and strategies
  • Evaluate performance under contract and prepare terminations
  • Review legal documents for compliance
  • Manage insurance claimsExperience of Contract Analyst
    • 3 years of progressive experience in a finance, procurement or contract administration position.Benefits of Contract Analyst

          • Bachelor's Degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or related fieldCore Competencies of Contract Analyst
            • Ability to perform a variety of tasks in a fast-paced, high demand environment and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
            • Exceptional critical thinking and writing skills
            • Extremely thorough document preparation skills, including formatting, proofreading and editing
            • Excellent attention to detail, follow-through, analysis of collected information
            • Excellent organization, project and time management skills to meet deadlines
            • Ability to write or modify text to compose correspondence, memoranda, forms and templates
            • Strong Microsoft office and data base management experience
            • Knowledge of Federal, State, and University laws, regulations, policies, and business practices and apply to contract issuesAdditional Information
